davidmccracken 2 Posted January 4, 2005 David thought since everyone is taking photos of glasses that he would do so too. Constructive feedback appreciated! Link to comment
amanda mumma 0 Posted January 4, 2005 as a mum who has breastfed 2 kids I have to laugh, it reminds me of expressing - these breasts look too pert to have produced the milk in that glass though hehehehe!! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2005 Another great idea. I had to laugh reading the title. At first sight I thought it was that baileys liqueur. Just to inspire you: glasses O.K. but what about cars??? Link to comment
albertdarmali 1 Posted January 4, 2005 Looks like you got hit by some of those robot raters again eh ? My latest picture got hit too. But I deleted my picture and uploaded it again but I didnt put it up for critique worrying the same thing will happen again. Albert. Link to comment
john_haslach 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Wonderful! I would love to see the same photo with different beer cans. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2005 I love the idea. But, its not working for me. There is certainly something here but I cant place my finger on and at the moment I cant state where I think it needs improvement. I know lot of help I am. I will view at a deeper/longer lengths and see if I can give a valid reasoning on my reactions. Knicki Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 4, 2005 Mark, I will look for that. Amanda, I know nothing about expressing milk although I did think of using that word in the title. I believe you may have provided the key to Knicki's 'not working feeling on this photo! Jim, Thanks... I think! Eddie, Baileys liqueur in glasses that size. I want an invite to the party at your house. Albert, You are right about the 'Robots,' hopefully they will be gone in the morning. Owl, What to say? Always kind! Always supportive! Thanks. Julia, Thanks! I like the warm skin tones too..... oh you meant in the photograph.... Knicki, I am with you on this. I did think of making it more graphic, depicting the expression of milk that Amanda was reminded of. However, it was cold and the model didn't have much time. Better to take this shot than have no shot at all. I think this is the 'problem' for you. It is the 'problem' for me! Link to comment
marcobrivio 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Provocative, well presented and composed. Excellent ! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 4, 2005 Marco, Thanks! It is a simple shot but I like it. Ray, I am not sure what I need but I think you need help! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2005 I'm going to disagree on the need for an engorged lactating breast. David, so far this is what's hitting me (forgive me for being such a damn knitpicker) Was she hunching a bit to make her breast appear fuller? I think the posture could be better. I'd like to know if you directed her hand position on the stem of the glass. I think a cupping hold would be better suited. The glass itself feels out of proportion to the breast. The reflection- what is that? a difusser? Do you have any other shots to compare to this one? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 4, 2005 Knicki, I love you and that is why I hate you so much..... just teasing you understand! She wasn't hunching! In actual fact this photograph doesn't do her breasts (rather breast) credit! (Does hunching make your breasts look 'fuller' can I ask... just curious!) There was no formal direction. As with so many of your comments I see things differently after reading them! Cupping the wine glass would have been more effective but the milk may not have been so visible! The glass is not out of proportion. I like a large wine glass! I actually like small breasts too.... Lets just leave that one there! The reflection has nothing to do with a diffuser. It's a window.... don't worry .... no one could see her! We were 500 feet up! Thanks as always! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2005 if you lean in slightly, hunch the shoulders you can achieve a deeper crease/cleavage at the bottom of the breast just like pushing them in with your arms or bra can increase cleavage in the middle. I will say nothing but giggle on your large wine glass, small breast fetish. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2005 Still crazy in 2005 !!! ( and please do so., dont change your style and creativity b.c. you'r one of my favorite members here) So that means : I " need" you. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Hummmm is well put Loft! LOL David how does your mind work? LOL Enquiring minds just need to know! LOL "Got Milk?" Perfect exposure, I like the reflection on the glass, but......if the milk was really coming out of this breast I'd be suprised, way to small for a lactating breast! LOL Sorry, I was getting a little medical on you. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 5, 2005 Knicki, errr... thanks for the explanation....... I think! Loft, I think I will always be crazy. It is flattering that you say you need me. However, the world needs you! Jayme, How does my mind work? I don't think it does to be honest with you! It may be a medical condition. Please feel free to tell me what this condition is! Ray, Your earlier comment showed no sign of respect for the model! YES it was an attack on you. I hope you understand why! Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted January 5, 2005 Having the day job that I do, I can assure you that her breast is fine in size and shape. The composition is excellent and the left hand weights the frame beautifully. Another great idea from an insane Celt. -Owen Link to comment
artofheadshots 0 Posted January 5, 2005 ahahah I have a similar picture... I called it "True Love", they would match each other. Great Idea Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 5, 2005 Ray, If you hate to be cantankerous... don't be! Lets agree to disagree on your original comment. I felt it was offensive to the model and I said so! I appreciate you are not trying to attack me and even if you were, I wouldn't care! However, I do get upset when people leave offensive remarks about my models even though YOU don't think your remark was offensive. That is the reason I appeared unfriendly! Your Guiness can flattered me! I said so. To your original point about the light reflecting in the glass. It didn't bother me. It would have been a simple task to reshoot the picture without the reflection but there were certain time constraints. Owen, Kind as ever. I am glad you like it. I think the fact that women come in all different shapes sizes is what makes photographing them such fun! Link to comment
sandy_vale 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Great Idea David!! Also along the lines of 'Milk on Tap' Cupped glass - cupped breast - that would equate to a balance. I would have loved to be able to say "Thanks for the Mammaries" - BUT virgin breast so to speak!!! (and no its not an attack on your model at all) - nice breast just not a believable lactating breast. You did state that women come in all shapes and sizes!!! makes photography fun etc - Walk the Talk!!! - To be fair David - as I said great concept - i have looked at the photo for over half an hour - and its just not believable. Cmon surprise me!!!!!! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 5, 2005 Sandy, I give up! You obviously don't understand me and I definitely don't understand you. Unless your comments are inteligible to me, I will be ignoring them from now on! I did intend doing this before but I felt compelled to write after Owl jumped into the debate. Actually! Forget it! I will just ignore you whether inteligible or not. Fin Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Hunching makes my breasts seem larger.... (dare you to respond to that! ) ;-) Link to comment
