angel_pena 0 Posted January 3, 2005 In Puerto Rico we don't have trains. Not one. Thats why I have this facination with them. This is Rome's subway, Piazza Spagna stop. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 3, 2005 I love photos with movement in them. I sometimes photograph trians too. I guess this is why I like this so much! Link to comment
angel_pena 0 Posted January 3, 2005 David I have question for you. Don't you think I must quit the ratings. I mean just post for critique only? I got a 1 from someone who does not even have a porfolio. Is this very very bad? Well is not the best pic in the world but ...it is THAT bad? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 3, 2005 Angel, It is annoying when you get a rating that cannot be backed up with sensible comment. I comment on photos more than I rate them. To be honest, I don't know how to answer you. I have thought about submitting photos for 'critique only' myself. However, tying a comment with a rating is something I like to do. This is not always possible. To this specific photo, it is something I like. I can see how others would not like it and may rate it 3 or 4. However it most certainly is not a 1. I don't know if the ratings system will change in view of the 'Robot Raters' we have seen over the last few days. I think after writing all this my advice would be, stick it out for a little while longer. Ratings mean nothing really. It is the comments from those that you respect and/or admire that mean the most. Link to comment
elly1664876496 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I love movement in shots too, but what made this one stand out for me is the colour! I like the parallels of orange and yellow. Just re: the ratings game, I tried the "critique only" and found that not as many people viewed my shots - so have decided to deal with the idiot raters out there, kinda playing the odds of views vs comments. Eventually, you'll find people who will leave comments... like David, I comment more than I rate these days - its the only way to learn! Cheers, Ellen Link to comment
Link to comment
Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted February 13, 2007 As many as there are pictures like this one on photo net, yours strikes me as one of the best accomplished, I believe it's because there's people in it, but not to many. Congratulations! Link to comment
