Fall Color Day

Awesome rich autumn colors. lovely composition. The sky is over-exposed. Overall a great autumn pic.

Scott, the scene is beautiful. Yes, the sky is somewhat overexposed, but I have to say I do not mind, as this was inevitable. I like this version better than the one with deep blue sky added in PhotoShop. There is very little you can do about the sky. Just thinking: maybe it is next to impossible, but depending on the location, perhaps you could wait to have sunlight from behind the camera and dark clouds in the left upper corner. The day was somewhat overcast, so the sky was rather cloudy. The sun does not reach this spot in fall. In order to lighten up the area, I had to cut and paste the original sky as it was back into the lightened picture. The sky as above was as it was shot. A graduated density filter may of helped, but since the sky was cloudy white anyway- I don't think it would of helped.

Though I don't like the washout sky on the top left, the rest of the

image seems to work with the winding road path and the leaves

blanketting the hillside.

it almost makes me like autumn. the colors are so vivid, all blend with one another to make a good looking Autumn calendar shot.Bravo!
