julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 3, 2005 This is my second self portrait. Except for my haircolor this photograph is not manipulated. I hope you like it! Link to comment
mondiani 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Better than the first one - who was too busy even if I prefer the seventies colors of the other! Congratulation ___________________________________Mondiani event and promotional photographer Link to comment

michaeldaggett 4 Posted January 3, 2005 I like it, I love the vertical lines, skewed by the natural curves of the body. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 3, 2005 Both are very nice in their own way. The first one, with its phalic symbol represented by the faucet and the bottles on either side, has a lot going on...the pose, the expression, the faucet...all making little statements. The location is the only thing a little "out of place" but done nicely none the less (and much better than croth/beer can shots by far!) This one has some better graphical points, mostly represented by the lighting, but helped by the squares of the tiles. Your "eye" look is better here, conveying a bit more mystery (although the faucet leaves the viewer frustrated/curious by not seeing more). Since you say you are a beginner, I have to say well done on both. Sincerely, Alexis www.alexisneel.com Link to comment

julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Gentlemen: thank you all for your enthusiastic comments. I'm very happy that the most of you prefer this portrait above my first one. In fact both pictures are not comparable. My last portrait is more timeless and tranquille than the first one with all those colored sanitary ware around me. This portrait radiates IMO a more sophisticated spheer and that is exactly the ambiance which make me feel comfortable. Silvie - for you as the only woman in this society - ... except myself ... I feel flattered by your warmly worded. A question for Rod: will you be the one who comes to set me free when I can't stand it out any longer in my bathroom? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 3, 2005 Julia: The light is fantastic! Wonderful tasteful nude of a very beautiful lady! And, I like the red hair as it seems to make the shot even bolder. Kudos! 7/7 If Rod can't make it when you're ready to leave that bathroom, please call me. Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted January 5, 2005 I, too, like this better than the earlier one. Graphically, it's much stronger, and glimpsing your eye gives it much more impact. Kudos to creative photographer and lovely model. Link to comment
sammelfuzzi 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Among all the many boring nudes and self nudes this is a superb photo, great idea to add that graphic effect by letting the light draw the lines of your body. Nice colours, perfectly exposed, perfectly chose pose, one eye still visible looking at the spectator, lovely model, I like this photo ! Link to comment
anniqua_karlsson 0 Posted January 5, 2005 I think the light stripes makes your body look twisted. I like the other photo much better. Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Inspite of your kind words and high rates, I rather ask the devil himself to save me out of my bathroom....unless you drop of that disgusting mask and show me who you really are. Julia. Link to comment

thomas_collins1 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Julia, Great work here. I feel the success stems from how the light plays in different directions upon your body as in contrast to the straight vertical bars on the wall. It's this difference that successfully separates the foreground from the background. Peering over the top of the camera creates a personal connection between the viewer and the model/photographer. I also like how you have angled your body to present the delicate curve of your breasts, framed within your uplifted arms. You certainly have given a new meaning to "bathroom art"! Link to comment
sampsonphoto 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Love the pose, the overall composition....The eye makes this photograph, and it is much better for it. I mentioned on your first that I hoped you were starting a series....am very glad to see the second. Very creative! Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 6, 2005 I appreciate it very much to hear your opinion, because you are the expert concerning this kind of photography. I thank you Thomas for your extensive comment. Julia. Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Thank you for your kind words. Indeed, I'm busy to make a "Bathroom" serie. And soon you can expect more. Julia Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 6, 2005 Trust me, I look better behind the camera than in front of it. I'm terribly deformed and it upsets people. Link to comment
