Robert, this is really cool.

I wonder how little can one photograph and still everyone knows exactly what it is. I think I'd like to see this same show without any wrinkles on the clothes... Very good lighting and an original approach...

I'd also like to see the wrinkles gone...believe me, we tried to smooth them out but it would have required a couple more hands to pull the fabic taut. Oh well...

I think the wrinkles are not the problem...is the way they are placed ( yes I "place" wrinkles in clothing shots sometimes) then I see a bra strap. Got to look natural, not ironed, not overdone... bah ! i'm just tripping here... this is a nice idea you only got to develop it, try different dresses or fabrics...

Not really an idea I developed in the first place. Just something I saw. And sometimes I find it hard to say "um, I know you're here just to kill some time and take a few shots for fun, but could you take off all your underwear." What can ya do? This is the dress+woman view.

Now I see why every woman needs to have a basic black dress. Makes for a nice composition. Now that you have the concept nailed, you will just need to see about getting a model who doesn't wear undergarments and you're set! You could carry this idea on and do a white dress with a white background, red dress with red background and so on. Could be a really cool series.

agreed 100% with Kim. totally gorgeous shot, just the way it should be. even the wrinkles are working just right to emphasize the form. just the bra lines that shouldnt be there. but Robert your comment was quite right and amusing too :) still, if a model knows you're serious about it, they would understand, specially if they are are wearing *something* if not the undergarments. because they too want to have a good shot. though the bra lines for this one can be clonned out for this one.

spent a few mins on it - I am sure someone could do better - having done and said all that I really honestly dont mind the wrinkles. nice image - very sexy 7/7

Very good work Gerry. I tried the same and I did get rid of the wrinkles but... I really think this is best done by shooting. Removing the wrinkles kills the natural look of the cloth and it's extremely hard if not impossible to reconstruct the sharp highlighted edge with smooth transition to black while keeping it look like natural.

 

I think Robert has shown us something really interesting and worth trying for. Thank you Robert for having a sharp eye!

I did my own PS work and got rid of the bra lines...much easier at 400% on a tif file.

If you rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, it looks like a sand-dune in the sahara in the moonlight.

Perfect light and tones.

Robert, you got it! I never thought of working at 400% :) I wonder why is that... Anyway, you set me a challenge as you showed me it is possible to do this naturally looking. So I got rid of all the wrinkles by using your JPEG file, resized it to 400% and worked with liquify, clone stamp and healing brush tools in photoshop. And here's the result. I hope you don't mind but I guess everyone wants to know how this looks without the wrinkles...
