giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted January 2, 2005 hi, having a poll and a rock in foreground helps onlookers to move through the picture. Nice capture. giuseppe Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 2, 2005 I prefer this landscape version over the portrait one. Very nice image and I love the detail in the water, with the ice and reflection. Link to comment

anish 0 Posted January 2, 2005 I also prefer your vertical version. this one might have worked, but i find the balance to be a little off. The right side seems "empty" and so the whole arrangement doesn't work for me. -Anish Link to comment

davidroossien 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I wonder if the sun ever sets over to the right by the 3rd point....that would make a more interesting and graphical photo. Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Excellent control over composition and exposure. Beautiful foreground texture. Good work, Dave! Link to comment

stephengalea 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Hi Dave...I really like the way you framed the sun..between 2 triangles. I also like the rock in the foreground... however the traingular mass of black rock found in the middle ground seem to dominate the frame in my opinion. Had the rock been with some detail instead of black, i think the above image would have greater impact...I know it hard to get some detail in the upper part when usind Grad filter...Dave did you ever try to photograph the same image on a tripod with 1 or 2 stop difference and the mount on top of each other in ps to extract some detail from the overexposed image? I cant remember but once i saw a similar image of this place on pn...AWESOME PLACE..Where is this place found? NO offence Dave..just my opinion. Cheers G.Steve Link to comment
henry_winter 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I wish I would have had the same light when I visited cannon beach back in 2002. Link to comment
dimitris 0 Posted January 3, 2005 A stunning photo! Wonderful composition, excellent exposure, well ballanced colors. The former photo was excellent but this is absolutely perfect! Congrats. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Excellent shot ! Great colors and crisp detail. Difficult to decide landscape or portrait, both photos in mind. What about a solomonic 6x7 format with some empty space on the right sacrificed ? Regards, Carsten Link to comment
