"Making Faces", 2004

This diptych makes happy movement...I planned on making a triptych,

but gave the funniest face (neg and all) to the model as a bonus...

The smile looks a little forced, and im not sure what the expression on the right is. I really like the lack of color and very narrow DOF.

I love diptychs, triptychs, and almost any sort of multiple panel image. I like this one for its honesty and sense of the moment. You are obviously not trying to make the lady anything other than what she is at the moment you clicked the shutter. No formality here...just a beautiful lady being herself. I love it.

I really like the movement a diptych or triptych makes (comic strip effect?). I will certainly produce alot more work within this concept.

 

Using the Pentax 67 II for multiple consecutive (successful) shots is not that easy if trying to catch the moment.

 

I'm glad you can see the honesty in this work.
