David ! I just CAN'T believe it... a pink flower?

I am not a flower person but I must admit that this one is beautifully composed and exposed. ..and ...and...that the colors are excepcional and well above average. well... I am just amazed...

When I get positive feedback from someone I admire I am happy. To receive positive feedback from 2 people I admire within minutes of uploading the photograph I am extremely happy!

I would like to thank Donald G for his informed 2/2 rating. I would also like to thank Frank Goldsmith, G Cliff, Gordon Strong, Tom Mailman and A Eagle (who are the same person) for his 1/2. Rating it FIVE times with 5 different names is very original! He is also rating as many non NUDE pictures from as many people as he can with the same rating. Naturally every nude gets a 7/7.

Yeah I noticed that these five names are the same person but...how can they rate hundred of pictures each if they are members since today. ?!@#$

We need a moderator here or its me? Can this be automatic? I mean, a program is doing this?

I suspect he is using a program to generate the ratings. A Eagle has managed to rate 188 nudes in less than a minute. I suspect there will be more names added to the list. I have emailed abuse@photo.net but I am not sure what they can do.

Something different indeed and beautiful indeed. The rating thing is out of hand and I think commeents are the only thing to pay attention to. I have no idea if Brian can control this or not. The system is so complex that he may be helpless in this regard, He has done a hell of a job trying to keep the site in order and is to be commended despite the problems. I will have to ponder this one.

 

In any event the image is lovely.

Personally, David, while this is a nice flower image I can not tell you I wasn't disappointed.

I expected something ironic in nature but nature being ironic.

The details on the petals are very well captured. Simple & nice. ( I encounter the same problem with Mark Moulder & Kim Mannese, but can't be bothered with them. Cowards, they are)Real sincere comments, critiques & ratings are what I am looking for.)

Knicki, Sorry to disappoint you. Sometimes I just see things and photograph them because they are there. This was one such picture. Thanks for pointing me to the forums.

 

Cherlyn, Thanks a lot. You have so many truly wonderful pictures. A comment like yours means so much the more because of this!

I communicate with Agata Rados and consider her to be a great developing talent. She is getting the same crap and is considering pulling some of her best work off the site because she considers it an insult to herself as well as the subjects. This is the kind of young artist well can ill afford to lose. Perhaps we should start putting yp 7/7 ratings for all of the good images that are being shot down this way.

 

I am at a stage in my career that this crap does no harm to me. It is a shame we can't rate the images of these "Critics."

Owen, I guess I don't rate photos as much as I should. I also believe there is a wealth of talent on this site that I haven't seen. I do like commenting more on photos than giving ratings although I do give ratings when I remember to do so. I generally give ratings where the photographer is genuinely looking for constructive feedback.

 

It seems most of the 'robot raters' have been kicked out although I see 'Kim Mannese' still remains.

 

Knicki, I want to know who's tongue and who's cheek and I want to know NOW!

Looks kinda ordinary at first instance (a pink flower, very familiar?) its centered, a rule well broken I would say. the detail in the flower amazed me. David you took this RAW? but somehow the arrangement of soft forms of the two large leaves in the background make it more interesting for me. looks like it was taken at high noon? well taken!

I was very pleased with this when I took it. I liked the contrast between pink and green and also the contrast between light and shadow. It is nice to be understood Bilal. Thanks!

Humor aside, I really like the colors, I think you have done great with this (my color work usually isn't worth the paper it's printed on)
