Robie, With a shot like this, tight in the building and all, you should really have a subject. If the sign is your subject, I had no idea of knowing that by just looking. What would also help, have that person walking towards you, coming in frame instead of outta of it. That would make all the difference for this shot.

Yes the sign(s) on this nice white building make the main subject. My thought is that it gives a sadder impression when the person is walking away from our view. For a while I thought on correcting the vertical...but left it at that due to the clipped wing angel which seems heavy on one side. It would certainly be interesting to try your suggestions...thank you for your comment.
