CL: Nice motive, yet the picture looses attraction when opened for its missing clearness in wide areas and contrast between fore- and background! Greetings, RE

Thank you all for your nice comments.

R E, this was taken at a distance (not close up)in a rush, zoom all the way, so I coundn't actually capture the sharpness & details that i want. That's what i hate when joining a conducted tour.

Hi Cherlyn! Thanks for visiting my portfolio. I love the images in yours ... am about to "mark you as interesting". :-) This one is especially interesting - the ice formations are great ... it's a wonderful abstract!! So ... since I'm a newcomer to the world of Cherlyn (although I see that you've got (sort of) a picture of yourself in here somewhere) ... what is this trip that you are on ... and where is your homebase? Have a very Happy New Year!!

Well, I am certainly aware of Singapore (have you "met" Alec Ee here on PN?) ... and am so sorry for the people in your part of the world and the horrible losses that you have experienced lately. I hope that your family is well and safe.

Lou Anne, thank you for your concern on the Tidal waves disaster. Very sad indeed that so many lifes were taken. Let's hope that 2005 will be a peaceful year.

I have met Alec at PN but not in person. I love his wonderful portfolio & I feel honored that he drop me a invitation for photo taking some day with the PN guys.

Thank you Peter for your comment.

I like the composition of this picture, the subject is lightly different from background and the wok on DOF enhanches the main subject.

Good Work! Fabio

The upside down version is probably more realistic, but I like both. Crisp and clear the ice-covered blades of grass against the blurred background, very aesthetic.

Carstan & Mari Mar, thank you for dropping by with a comment & a most welcome, my new PN friends. And Mari Mar, I welcome your embrace as I feel lucky that S'pore managed to escape the tregedy but I sadden for the victims.

Hi Cherlyn, seems like the unside down image look more realistic! Funny how nature works. Certainly must be pretty cold up there. I have been travelling lately so not much time for photography. Will contact you once Bilal and I arrange a date with other PN members. ^_^

Oh, oh, my mistake was caught. Actually the right version should be the upside down. I realised it when Carstan first mentioned it, then caught again by Alec. When I was doing the rotation, I was not looking carefully, so blur me, that I posted the wrong postition image. So sorry , everyone. :(
