of the moon? Is the moon looking realistic? How can I improve the

I think you captured the sunlight image at around 2-3PM, anyways a few hours before sunset. I think it would be more balanced if you would have waited for something very close to sunset. Potentially the dark shadow would have shown some detail then due to a more even illumination.

 

I might be wrong of course...

I agree with Peter about waiting for a later hour to give this balance (I was also wondering how the moon got to be over that direction until I read the details). Otherwise, a nicely done image. Regards.

The moon looks out of place and the mismatch between the exposures is quite noticeable. HOWEVER...I like it when parties post what they have done with the images as a means for some discussion.
