j_v1 0 Posted December 31, 2004 This is a nice photograph- good lines, textures, tones. But in my opinion, there is a little too much of the grass in the foreground. Perhaps try cropping out the bottom 10% or so. Link to comment
gabriella_lucia 0 Posted January 1, 2005 I think the crop is fine, giving the photo good depth and composition. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted January 1, 2005 Composition is fine. The height of the grass actually enhances the water's depth. Link to comment

lgreene 0 Posted January 1, 2005 Hey Gerry I think this is a really good one. I like the colors of dried grasses and you have used it very well here. Textures stand out as well. The branches sticking out of the water are also eye catching!! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 2, 2005 I like the heavy foreground, too - really adds depth. Nice lighting. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 9, 2005 ah, I found the other version. Quite a difference from the tree'd version. The large rounded tree in the background was and is a good landmark. I'm not so sure about the forground grasses here. The colors and the textures do draw the eye in and they are pleasant to look at but they take up close to if not 50% of the frame. The curve of the river does a nice job of bringing the eye to the mentioned tree. I look forward to the other shots from this area. Knicki Link to comment
