61 - Titan II Missle Silo

This strange effect was the result of placing the lens onto the

glass dome looking down into the silo; the cloudy sky is reflecting

back along the sides.

Very pleasing for such a technical shot. Would like to know what the white cloud like image is near the top. Was this something editied in after the shot. Like the way it helps soften the shot. Nice work...

Not a "typical" travel photo, very interesting.

 

Where did you take it? The Titan II was a beast in it's day, if I remember, Reagan was the guy that got rid of them and brought in the MX.

The shot is through a glass dome over the preserved silo and is completely unedited. The bright corners are due to the sunlight reflecting off the class. The reflections across the top left are from the clouds and blue sky overhead.
