Lovely quiet Winter scene.

Makes me cold just looking at it! Was it snowing when you took this? I notice some white spots in the water and am assuming it was from falling snow. Nice, peaceful winter scene.

CR: Sondra, a nice one. Especially the clearness of the branches on the right are convincing - an area of orientation. Regarding the snowflakes I would try less or more shutter speed to get them clear or as a haze. But thats only an idea, it cant be an advice because I dont have any experience - this afternoon I shall take my first snow-pictures :-)) REgards

Kim, yes it was snowing. This was my first snow falling photo. I see now that I needed to use a faster shutter speed so as not to blur the falling snow. Cheers, Sondra

A beautiful shot. I have no idea what shutter speed you would need for the best way to capture falling snow but it would be fun trying to see what effects you can get.
