rod_melotte 0 Posted December 28, 2004 WonderFULL. I love the lighting, this is what makes the shot work for me! Of course the faucet sets this aside form the typical nude. Excellent.Very good and the picture also!! Link to comment
thomas semesky 0 Posted December 28, 2004 The lighting and color reminds me of the old chromes from the '50's. Link to comment
sarah marie jones 0 Posted December 28, 2004 What an original nude ! The color treatment is really fun ! Link to comment
james_oneill 0 Posted December 28, 2004 The light and colour on the body makes me think of a painting - I think it's by Tamara de Lempicka, but I can't find it. Link to comment
frank_thomas3 0 Posted December 28, 2004 Fantastic technical application or just really lucky. Would love to see more of your work! Link to comment
frank_p 0 Posted December 28, 2004 Great, strange, picture. I am sure the mirror holds a secret... Link to comment
your rater 0 Posted December 28, 2004 Well, I don't like nudes special, but the light on the body of your model is fantastic! The strange colours are very apart! Succes for you and your model in 2005. Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted December 28, 2004 Very unique image of a very sexy photographer. Welcome to the club. You've certainly made quite the entrance! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 29, 2004 No, but they can distort reality, as in a fun house mirror.... Nice colors. Link to comment
pradeep satyaprakash 0 Posted December 29, 2004 But there are so many lies in this picture. 8O) Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted December 30, 2004 I like to thank you all for your, for the most, kind and enthusiastic comments. For a beginner this is a very warm welcome and I appreciate it very much. Some of you are curious to know how I realise this selfportrait. Well, that's very simple: Location: My bathroom with a window facing south. Camera: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F707. Focussing: Landscape, Automatic Light: Winter sunlight 01.30 PM dimd through the silvercolored vertical slats of a Venetian blind, and just above my head a bathroom lamp of 60 Watt. Pradeep state there are many lies in this picture. I can assure you there is but only one lie in it and that is the color of my hair, that is generally speaking blond. Except the red hair, the eye make-up and lipstick, nothing else is manipulated in this shot. It is unadulterated nature and I'm very proud you seems to appreciate! Link to comment
sampsonphoto 0 Posted December 30, 2004 I love this shot!...the tone, the mixed lighting and zebra stripes, the framing and placement of objects within the scene...makes me smile, makes we want to see more of this photographer...perhaps a series is in the works :-) Link to comment
ned1 0 Posted December 31, 2004 I was sure there was some sort of clever photo-shopping going on. If this is for real then you have, shall we say, some real talents. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 3, 2005 7 for colors. 7 for idea. "?" for model (sorry, scale ends at 7) ;-) Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted January 6, 2005 reminds me a bit of Helmut Newtons images...actually both posted images do. a bit of photojournalism with an artistic twist to it. Link to comment
raimondas_baltuskevicius1 0 Posted January 7, 2005 I think that this picture is very sincere and well done, Julia. Thank for your warm words. About mirror is long discussion. Have you seen Tarkovsky movie "The Mirror - Zerkalo"? It will be interesting to see more your pictures. Regards, Raimondas. Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 13, 2005 I'm very happy with all those positive reactions. Yes Edward, it's for real of course, with all the right natural ingredients, it seems to be possible to look very well, even have turned fifty. Eddie, I feel flattered by your all your sevens! I've never heard of Helmut Newton, Detlef. I gonna search on internet to learn more about his person and his work. I'm very curious. The movie you talk about, Raimondas, it is possible I've ever seen it. It's a film made in 1975 I think. Maybe I've seen it a long time ago but I can't remember the content. Gonna search for that on internet too. As you see, I'm very busy gentlemen, so for a couple of weeks no time to take new pictures:-)) Link to comment
chris_minor 0 Posted January 15, 2005 I was just about to type (Male or Female)...When I read your comment...Oh well. You got me Link to comment
michael_draper 0 Posted January 16, 2005 I love this one and the other you have done. The colours are great and Wow your body is great for your age. Makes me feel like 80 :-) Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 16, 2005 Yes, I'm a real woman and it doesn't surprise me in the least that you were in doubt about my sex. When I look to (particular) this shot I'm still surprised it's me. For that reason the title. In Julia I I recognise myself really. Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 16, 2005 I'm so glad with your kind reaction. I don't know how old you are but inspite of my body I feel myself from time to time 69. So Michael, don't worry, be happy!!! Julia Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 17, 2005 Julia, when researching Helmut Newton, might I suggest you also look into Margaret Bourke-White. Link to comment
