A beautiful picture. One worthy of being framed. Although, I don't know if it was intentional, the subject is leaning a bit to the right. For myself I would like to straighten it. Nevertheless, Nice work.

Thanks everyone, this is taken outdoors with the wind blowing in the afternoon. I took more than a dozen shots before getting it right. Those who tried it before will know how difficult it is with F11, 1/90 sec at 250mm. The dark background is due to the black fence around one section of the orchid farm.

Can't understand why someone rated this 3/2 without explanation. Oh well! Live and let live.

Beautiful shot Alec! very good the way you used the background to make them stand out. As for the 3/2 on this picture, to be frank I feel relieved to hear that its actually not just me who's been vicitmized for some personal reason but it seems like a general epidemic over PN in the past few weeks, just hit and run cases for apparantly no reason. So join the club buddy :)

I wish you a great 2005, the best of the earth for you. I hope you didn't suffer problems with the terrible situation in your country. I thought about you and your family since the first second. all my friendship and consternation. A kiss for the new year..Eric

Chips, Bilal, Hans really glad you all stop by here. Thanks a million Eric for your concern but luckily Singapore is sheltered by the neighboring countries and I didn't holiday in Phuket! ^_^

Thanks Peter and Lou for your kind comments/thoughts. Our prayers goes out to those affected by the tsunami. The media says that it is equlvalent to 10 times the force of the Hiroshima atomic bomb from the spread of the areas affected.

Ah, beautifully done! The black background enhances the bright yellows & greens ( Great that you are able to capture this under the swaying wind, I know how difficult it is as I have tried). Happy 2005! Let the New Year be a prosperous one for you. Cheers Cherlyn

Happy New Year, Alec. Glad all is well with you. It's heartbreaking seeing the news of all the deaths and destruction from the earthquake and Tsunami.
