Lips Ear Nipple

 

David thought this was an interesting composition and wondered if anyone agreed?

I think the composition is fascinating. One of the things that I like the most is the wisp of hair at the nipple.

 

For what it is worth, I might have cropped a tad lower at the top and a tad higher at the bottom of the frame. Consider a black sweater. 6/6

Thanks Owen. I did consider cropping it a tad lower at the top but then the lips just wouldn't look right! I did not consider cropping it any differently at the bottom.

 

I did consider cropping it tighter at the left such that the background is not visible. However I am very particular to keep my photographs with an aspect ration of 2:3. I felt this was the best I could do with what I had.

Even though it is a new idea, it's a classic McCracken. You really seem to have found your style, one recognizes your pictures at once. Now don't you get me wrong, I mean this as a compliment!

I know it is brown on purpose, but maybe you could also try it in B&W, which could enhance the concept of simple shapes coming together (hope you see what I mean).

BTW, it even presents some basic form of tilt :-)

Well, you got the title colors right.

David I find it interesting that the focal point is the last thing listed in the title. Is this your personal choice of order or perhaps the pre-conceived one. Reminds me of a mole a bit. What is your train of thought in regards to this picture?? Can you be a viewer and not the photographer?? The paler skin on the shoulder - too much of a contrast perhaps.

I find it interesting that you have joined photo.net today and have no photos uploaded, you have rated none and you have only commented on 2 photos....... both mine.

Your perogative David - I guess you were just the lucky one - a person can view and admire photography and have an opinion. Your photographs are perhaps from an interesting perspective. I will be admiring or not admiring other photographers works on here. If you were ever to display your work in a gallery or private viewing you would have to be prepared for some negativity as well as praise. Is that a problem??

Sandy, It is for the viewer to interpret what he or she sees. Make what you will of my photographs. I only post them here for constructive criticism and to see how they appeal to the masses.

 

I look forward to seeing more comments from you on the photos of others. I hope you will be more constructive in your comments rather than why a photorapher has done this or that.

 

I sincerely hope you have the good sense, NOT to make silly comments as you did on my 'Removal Notices.'

 

Like I say, I am more likely to respond to people who have photographs uploaded. I hope to see yours soon!

David, Thank you for responding! I have some time to kill at the moment so i will be viewing many photographs - and as the viewer they will be my opinion - i am just one of the masses, it is what appeals to my eye, whether the photographer captures the true spirit of their subject. I hope to be able to find in one of your photographs a true essence. As for for my comment on the other photo - perhaps as a female and a mother my judgement moves outside the square. My opinion is exactly that. In the eye of the beholder-perhaps too close to the bone??!!!!

As if you are not happy enough leaving something alone when you have the chance, you have to underline your ridiculous suggestion. Please do not assume you know me or my models or what I am trying to portray. I find your suggestion offensive and disrespectful. If you have something to say in the future, say it and say it clearly. Do not mince your words.

 

By all means comment on my photographs, their artistic merit as well as 'Originality and Aesthetics.'

David, were you using an on camera flash?

 

I personally, find this more appealing without the lips and ear which would make it neck, hair, nipple, sweater. My reasoning would be the brown tones throughout those items. The pink lipstick isnt working for me and her mouth doesnt come off as relaxed but it mid change of expression.

On camera flash......... How dare you! Just teasing. I did use a flash on this.... bounced and diffused but I would have to say..... not diffused enough.

 

Strange as it may seem, I do have a version of this picture with just the nipple. I will upload it now and call it 'Knicki's Request.'
