Indeed it seems absolute, completely ridiculous, but it is more than needful in the 'Stratumseind', the area in the old centre of Eindhoven where this plate is placed. It is a small and over the whole country an(in)famous place to go out. Over 700 meters at both sides of a narrow street are next to eachother only pubs with here and there a shop. Above the pubs has to live and sleep normal working people. Particular from Thursday till Sunday-evening it's overcrowded with dronk and stoned ones who pissed where they want, except at the for that purpose meaned toilets indoors. The local authority has, at ones wits' end, take this dramatic measure. And it seems to work, hurray!!! Link to comment

MichaelChang 12 Posted January 1, 2005 I once saw a sign that read "Watch for falling rock", so I waited for falling rocks hoping I would be able to exchange it for a watch, just as the sign suggested. I wonder if the bikers would interpret the sign to mean it's fine to pee if you pay 46 Euro - the sign also indicating where to pee. Happy New Year, Ada. :-) Link to comment
