Son of renowned beat poet Bob Kaufman, and named after family friend; jazz musician Charlie Parker. This Pentax 6X7 image was shot in my San Francisco studio in natural North light

named after a good Kaufman family friend; jazz legend Charlie

Parker. Parker has a very soft almost feminine presence which is

enhanced by the reflected quality of the Northern-facing light

source.

Parker surely suffers from a great burden of mental brilliance. Both of his parents would have easily qualified for Mensa membership. Parker has always appeared to have struggled to find his place in the world. I have no idea of his whereabouts now, perhaps Europe? I hope he is doing well, wherever he might be?
