ada-ipenburg 0 Posted December 20, 2004 A leave, fast in a very thin layer of ice. I appreciate your critiques. Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted December 20, 2004 I like this Composition. The Light is so beautiful, with the still, green Leave, what makes the Transition, from Summer to Winter. Greetings Alix Link to comment
timnichols 0 Posted December 22, 2004 I've been away and you've been doing nice work all along. Even centered I like this one. The leaves mark a boundary between colors and golden lights, green leaves, and blue ice go well together. Thanks! Link to comment
wim.ipenburg 0 Posted December 22, 2004 Normaly I don't like it, when the main subject is placed the center. In this case I think it is a good choice, it makes the picture stronger. The colours are great. Yes, I like this one very much Ada! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 23, 2004 Ada, funny but that leaves has the shape of a boat anchored in the water...can you see it?Nice colors. you are developing your seeing! Pnina Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted December 23, 2004 Alexandra, Tim, Wim and Pnina thank you very much for your enthusiastic comments. Yes Pnina, I see the boat with it's high mast, the reefed sails and the flag still in top. I think it's a phantom ship ;-) I like it very much you've mentioned it! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 25, 2004 Very eye catching... I wish if you had composed it a little off center. Still looks good. Brilliant rich vibrant colors.... Happy new year and Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones. Wish the coming year may bring you happiness and prosperity. Kindest regards. Link to comment
chritho 0 Posted December 26, 2004 Yes Ada, even centered in the middle it is a interesting photo. I like the lines in the ice leading the eye to the right. Please don't be angry with me, but i would prefer a neutral border. Link to comment
edwin_rijpkema 0 Posted December 26, 2004 Beautiful photo. Even without the leave the photo would be great. The transition of the light from the left to the right is beautiful. I give it a 6/6. Link to comment
edwin_rijpkema 0 Posted December 26, 2004 Oh Ada, I almost forgot to give you my best wishes for the new year! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted December 31, 2004 Nice lighting and well seen. I like the way the golden glow divides the composition diagonally, leaving the leaf in the middle of the blue/gold. Nice reflection, too. Happy New Year! Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted January 1, 2005 Beautiful! I'm just wondering how the leaf managed to stay green for so long. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 1, 2005 I like to thank everybody for the kind words and advices. And the wishes! I thought I've wished you all the best for 2005, but to be sure I will do it again: Happy New Year to All of You, dear friends! Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 1, 2005 I'm not sure because I do not know exactly where you live in the USA, but I have the idea the autumn starts later in Holland as in some parts of America. I mentioned that when I saw real autumn coloured pictures in september on PN. No yellow or red leave at that time here. I took this shot till the end of november and at that moment there were a lot of leaves like this one in the same good condition. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted January 1, 2005 Ada, I presume that that is because of the maritime weather that you typically get. Ours in the southeastern U.S. is likewise more moderate, especially as one approaches the coast. By the way, I really love the golds and silvers on the right side of this photo. Link to comment
emily_alkema 0 Posted January 21, 2006 De glans van het ijs, de compositie van de vlakken en de materiaalspanning spreekt me zeer aan Ada. Het duurde enige tijd voor ik je mocht beoordelen van PN. Terecht denk ik , veel groeten Emily Link to comment
