ian p 0 Posted December 20, 2004 Perhaps one of the most famous of London's squares, this shot shows the what the square seems to be most famous for - its pigeons (and also the statue of Lord Nelson on his column and also King George IV). I added some toning to this. All comments welcome! Link to comment
thwong 0 Posted December 20, 2004 Very well composed, the birds are almost CGI like and spread out evenly, both statutues are well placed. Well done! Link to comment
martin_thorpe2 0 Posted December 20, 2004 This looks great! There's a real dark element to this photo, kind of mysterious. Nice. Link to comment
m_m26 0 Posted December 21, 2004 Thimbs up mate! I have been walking here on daily basis, but rarely would see something like this. I was shooting there a while ago, but never approached this placew from taht spot, well done! Link to comment
bob_savas 0 Posted December 21, 2004 Great composition and execution. The tone makes the photo. My only suggestion would be to try to remove that "lump" just forward of the horse's rear leg. It makes it a appear that either Lord Nelson is riding side saddle or that the horse is excited about something. Link to comment
travis_pierson 0 Posted December 23, 2004 A great impact with just blue/greys and silhouttes! I dont know how much PS work you did, but if you did any you did it well -- it's mysterious and moody but it still seems like a photograph as opposed to a manipulation/illustration. Link to comment
ian p 0 Posted May 15, 2005 Travis - there's next to no PS work here. It was an overcast day and the sun was behind the statues from where I was stood....one of the few occasions where a centre-weighted camera reading was the correct one to create silhouettes and a moody sky. Link to comment
