david robinson 0 Posted December 18, 2004 The lighting here, together with the surprising clarity of details for this darkness, is phenomenal. Masterful... Link to comment
sergio_varona 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Technically very good. But I find the tree and specially the leaves a bit distratcing Link to comment
david_choy 0 Posted December 18, 2004 nice composition...more contrast or waiting for better light would make this photo superb Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted December 18, 2004 My 2 bits: I find that the overmanipulation, i.e. making it too dark, to find the "artistic effect" is not making it. Its just TOO dark and a lot of detail has been lost. Also, the image sort of starts somewhere (no stair bottom) and lacks a real focal point of interest.. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Interesting differences of opinion here. The darkness, which others find objectionable, for me works in creating an atmosphere that departs from the ordinary. As to a focal point I am led up the stairs into the door through the darkness to the window; and now I'm looking back at you... Link to comment
belenalvarez 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Which I like more on this photo is just the atmosphere you have created with the light. I agree with David Robinson. IMHO is very well done Link to comment

dmozzherin 0 Posted December 19, 2004 Interesting low key composition! To me two dark openings (the door and the window) ask for something similar in the right bottom corner, I find the tree is a bit distacting. Link to comment
