Superb lighting, and perfect exposure. Love this!

Great composition. The lighting on this is perfect, especially on the girl on the right. There are a lot of details captured from the dancers to the wall design to the dancers on stage. It feels like i'm backstage and its great that you angled it to where you can see the dancers onstage so the viewer can understand what they're seeing.

Remarkably good shot under difficult lighting conditions. Reminiscient of Eisenstaedt's rehearsal shots from the 20s or 30s. Care to share any details on equipment or technique?

I used a Canon 20D with a 17-40/4 L lens. I guess I was lucky. It came out pretty close to what I wanted. I still need to work on the print tho'.
