Ask me to think of a photo of a less than saintly santa and this one will always spring to mind. There's no wickedness there. Oh no. On the contrary, he seems a thoroughly likeable guy. Rather the wry smile, mildly cool pose with acoutrement implies a trace of life spent hanging round pool halls and that sort of thing. The predominant message is of comic irony. I've said it before but I'll say it again, your use of the beard as ciggie smoke was a stroke of genius.

Most hilarious! At first I thought it was a satiric take-off on Fili's POW of the beautiful Ice Maiden. I think it's the frosted eye-brows they both have. Everything about this works together. You SAW this and brought it back. Very fine work.

I don't seem to remember the brows on last year's frame. Thanks for sharing this again Doug.

I only wish it were better, but I wish that about everything.

Actually, I regret deleting this, and all my other work. Now that the quota issue seems to be resolved, and stable, I think I won't feel the need to make periodic dumps.
