colin carron 58,916 Posted December 14, 2004 I reckon it deserves everything it can lay its little grasping paws on with a display like that! Nice shot that will probably bring a few smiles to faces around the world. :-) Link to comment
delp 0 Posted December 14, 2004 How Cute !!! Your desaturation works pretty well here. You must know that usually, I don't like this kind of "tricks", but there ... very subtle, very fine ! Well done, Sondra. Can't wait to see more. Link to comment
harry eggens 0 Posted December 15, 2004 ....selective coloring Sondra. This does leave full attention to this acrobat. Very funny capture. Wonderfully presented....Best regards, Harry Link to comment

WJT 609 Posted December 17, 2004 Hi Sondra. I have to say first of all that I hate these aboreal monsters, and for just the reason that you are showing here. They empty out those feeders as fast as I can fill them. But in any case, this is a Very Good photograph of the Beast. It really depicts their wherewithall to find a meal. I also think the selective desaturation works quite well in this photograph to center the viewer's focus on the subject's antics. Regards. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted December 24, 2004 Walter, he may be a nuisance, but not a beast. I enjoy watching their antics. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment

loldhoff 0 Posted October 10, 2005 I like it too. Good capture! There is a squirrel that frequents my backyard I'd like to capture in its behaviours. I haven't figured out how to colour in subjects and would like to experiment with that as well. Any hints are welcome of course. I love your portfolio on the whole, by the way. Congratulations! 6/6 Link to comment
ted carter 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Sondra, I've done several of these "partial colorizations" in PS, and I think that they can be a very effective communication tool when used correctly to draw focus to a particular aspect of the shot, as you've done here. Bravo! Link to comment
