jana 1 Posted December 13, 2004 I wanted to create the feeling of infinity of space and time. Was I succesful in your opinion? Thank you very much for any comment. cheers jana Link to comment
jeff warrow 0 Posted December 13, 2004 A nice geometric form from nature. Needs a foreground object for contrast. Link to comment
root 0 Posted December 13, 2004 The clearly defined line actually could be read as a firmament between here and the hereafter. . . . . and some pattern shots - like this one - DO work without a focal point. Link to comment
wernher 0 Posted December 15, 2004 Hi Jana. The texture and colours work well for me. To answer your question: no, this does not invoke a feeling of infinity to me. For me it invokes the more obvious: heat, sand, dessert. That is what came immediately to my mind - but that's OK, because abstracts are supposed to be open to interpretation. It all depends on the viewer's background and the connections that his/her brain makes - some people may see nothing at all, others might see something completely different to what you see. Anyway, I find this photo very pleasing. Link to comment

jana 1 Posted August 18, 2005 Kristian, this is a desert picture from Namibia. I actually underexposed ( by accident)2 slides, so I just put them together and made this. I am originally from Czechoslovakia, escaped from communism years ago and now I am residing in NL. I love travelling to authentic places. I hate massa tourism. I guess this urge to travel comes partly from my communist past, as we were forbidden to leave the country. So I read so much about the world and dreamt about visiting exotic places. thanks for all your kind words. Jana Link to comment
