eachica 0 Posted December 12, 2004 I like your choice of lighting for this one. Expression shows extreme emotion... which is what I'm sure you were trying to convey... so good job! Link to comment
chris_schultz2 0 Posted December 12, 2004 I'm a BIG fan. The sharp focus and imaginative lighting are what make this one work. 6/6. I can suggest a title: "Serenity (compared to his usual mood)" Link to comment

cappoldt 0 Posted December 13, 2004 Todd, another great one. Would you explain what you did with the lighting for us? -Chris Link to comment
toddlaffler 0 Posted December 13, 2004 This was lit using 3 regular camera flashes all linked via slaves. I used two canon 550 EX flashes and one lower end sun pak. I used the sun pak behind my head which gave me the rim lighting. The key light was placed at about waist level pointing upwards which gives some of that "spooky" up lighting. This flash was fired into an upside down white umbrella. The third flash was to camera left and a little further away acting as a fill light. This was bounced into an umbrella as well. I also did some burning and dodging in Photoshop as well to heighten the effect. Thanks for looking. Warm Regards, Todd Link to comment
cape1232 0 Posted December 13, 2004 I like this much better this way than with all the extra empty space on the right. Link to comment
