Very nice. I've noticed quite a few people using the Xpan recently and the results (when in capable hands) are generally very engaging. Your picture is a good example. The pano format really pushes this past where it would be with a standard 35mm format. Well done.

Just out of curiosity, do you find the format difference to be challenging in terms of composition?

Joel, Yes at first it was a bit frustrating, however, as with anything new ie: square format vs 35mm with practice and time it becomes second nature. You begin to "see" xpan images. A friend once said ... if the xpan does not add anything to a regular 35mm scene don't shoot it!

This is a classic application for the Xpan. It yields a great sense of depth, of being there under the forest canopy. Basing your composition on trees of different distances accentuates the depth further. Very nice work. Cheers, Leigh.
