When I have submitted this photo some days ago, one have advise me to

filter the sky with Neat Image. Therefore I have tried this software

for the first time, and indeed the result is rather interesting. The

sky is not the original and I have also changed the the tones and

colours of the landscape. This is one of the seven or eight

manipulations that I have made from this landscape which inspired me

very much but that the atmospheric conditions haven't permit me to

photograph at best. Thank you to rate and comment.

Original and brooding. Very well done. I have often wondered what the sea looked like from Venice, as we always get photos pointed toward Venice. Thanks for posting.

Certainly better. Just had a look at the previous version- the sky here is very much improved.

However: the lamp on the right doesn't look good yet, you should try to diffuse the light a bit more, the white looks too limited.

Then, for my taste, the color is not saturated enough. A bit more contrast and saturation, or add just a little bit more blue- some kind of grey-blue- on the sky.

I personally feel like darkening the whole image, so that the lamplights stand out more obviously.

Just a suggestion... Good luck!

I do not feel qualified to discuss technical merits of photography, but from the viewpoint of a person who loves to look, this is one of the most awesome shots I have seen in a long time. I love the way I feel like a part of the shot--you drew me in by allowing me to feel like my feet are about to get wet. I am terrified of water, and my first thought is "if I get too close to that edge I will fall in". Thank you for sharing a beautiful, brooding mood.

Henri, the composition, muted colors, and simplicity are characteristic of this image and those are reasons why I think this is a success. Nice manipulation, Henri. ^_^

I like the mood and there is indeed something quite appealing about the arrangement of objects in this location. The blend isn't quite convincing but does give a good idea of what is possible.
