Sam, it's not easy to take a night scene in B&W and I think that you do a very good job here. The exposure is right on. But I do think the image is a little bit soft (probably due to the long exposure and camera shake).

Jerry, yes, the exposure, 4 secs, was rather long. Camera shake, perhaps due to wind coming thru the open window, might have been possible although I have used a tripod. The F 3.5 value might also have to do with the softness. On the other hand, I have experienced great differences in the quality of photographs on computer monitors. During the last 14 months I have used more than 80 different computers in internet cafes & at friends' homes. To my surprise my own pictures on photo.net had a very varying quality. In some instances I even saw Newtonion rings on the images. I guess, it all depends on the graphic cards used plus the settings & qualities of the monitors.
