Another Day in Purgatory (#1945)

Part of a series of small digital photos, except I'm thinking of

changing the title to Through the Ominous Dark, but they're not dark

enough, I don't think. Back to the drawing board.

Doug..not sure its ominous enough to justify aminous. The word kind of implys fear and no escape. Theres too much sky providing that escape so like dark maybe its not that either lol. I do like the shot..the fog and emptiness sets a mood. One intrinsic fault is the tree is smack dead centre...if a good chunk of ground was included and the top half of this lost it would be ominous indeed imo.

I find myself in total agreement with you, Paul, except for the part about the tree being in the middle, which doesn't bother me, but I understand how it would irk a person.

As you say, it is too light, and the sky provides too much hope. What do you think about this one....
