patrickjacobson 0 Posted November 30, 2004 The thing here was not to include the head of the shadow.. thereby the title, ...She Lost Her Head... Also take note of the little white note that lays there.. to bad it didnt have any text on it! This is a snapshot.. not a planned shot with a model. Comments/Thoughts/Ideas are Much welcome! bosh 0 Posted November 30, 2004 This is a nice photo - The monochrome colors keep it feeling simple, and I like the overhead composition and the way the shadow falls out of the frame. Link to comment

robidooo 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Very good photo. Lots of originality in it. However, I would like to see the complete shadow of the person, beside the head which should remain out of the frame. Also, if you have the chance to retake the shot, I would remove the white paper right in the middle which is distracting a lot. The monochrome is perfect for this shot. All in all, this is a winner and I'm glad you did not removed it from your portfolio! Link to comment
patrickjacobson 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Thank you two for your comments and thoughts about this shot. Its possible to redo yes.. its taken from my 5th floor window.. a snapshot/candidshot.. Saw her coming.. saw the image infront of me.. and had 3-4 seconds to get it right. Will be hard to get that movement though which i like.. and the long detailed shadow. But ill try when the sun is here again (thats in the spring/summer). Cheers Patrick J Link to comment
zeb2011 0 Posted December 30, 2004 i like this, i could see it hanging on my wall...i like the composition and how you left so much of the sidewalk visible above Link to comment
my_pics 0 Posted July 11, 2005 This image has very strong aesthetic value. I do have some thoughts, most of which have been mentioned above. But, IMO, what makes this image so commanding is, more than its aesthteic value, is the uniqueness of it. Is it genuinely original? Who knows? But this concept is indeed rare if not original. Oh, I will make one remark. You keep impressing me with your fascination with texture. You are very skilled at recording it. Link to comment
