I prefer the color version. I think the background in the other one competes with the bird too much. Great sharpness and detail - so important in bird shots. Simple and effective composition.

Another one that is a bit too bright for me. But the beak in the feathers with the eye looking into the camera almost gives a human feel to this one.

Nice watercolour - oops, I mean photograph (if you know what I mean!) Yup I agree with Kim on this one - I think it works better than the b&w. It's actually a bloody amazing shot. It's one of those shots that you have to keep coming back to because it's so intriguing. Hat's off!

I really like the idea, but the excecution is not perfect, but well done. The lack os details in the head disturbs a lot ... too much dead pixels and bad selection in PS ... I guess. Please, don't take this as an offence. I'm trying to help. Overall, it's a very original picture. The wood body is pretty good.

It is the composition on this one that sets it apart from any other (it is a goose, isn't it?) shot I've seen. Very very well done!
