Nice macro photo. Try making it more interesting... perhaps position it not directly in the centre, but at 1/3 of the photo area; or add a snail or a pine needle on top; or smething. Something that tells a story.

Sofia, I'm scared of touching snails, while pine needles may hurt me. I like nature's exhibitions as they come. Thanks very much for your critique.

Hello Sam.

This is a wonderful bit of Macro Nature work. My only reservation is the highlight on the right of the toadstool's cap. Were you very close, and did you use on the camera flash? You may be able to improve the photograph by dodging and burning in the light room?

Only my opinion though!

Thanks for putting this one out in the Critique Forum, for the wider population to view.

Regards, Nick.

Nicholas, no flash, just sunlight through a canopy of tree leaves. Thanks for your appreciation. Cheers, Sam.

As it appears in news/journalism, for a brief moment I thought it was an aerial shot of a nuclear test. Much to my dismay, it turned out to be a mushroom, albeit, an interesting looking mushroom.

Sorry, Studio Eyeworks, for misleading you into the down to earth mushroom world. I had put this under journalism as the first critiquer wanted this picture to tell a story by changing its aspect. However, I'm delighted you like the mushroom as such, although it is highly poisonous. Cheers, Sam.
