After six days at on our sailboat at sea we reached theSvalbard islands and went for a stroll in the fog...

I like the mood of this picture, and I would welcome suggestions andcomments...

Could almost pass for abstract if they were not walking. Seems a little pixelated, but does not subtract too much. Mike

I like this, very well balanced, the rock in the foreground( although looks quite blurred) with the line of rocks on the left, the spread of the people and hints of hill on the horizon...

... the things I don't like... well, that white thing in the foreground is a distraction.

Now, I kind of like how they aren't exactly following the 'path', makes me think they could get lost, but the hills are providing a guide to keep between. Depending on how you want the photo to go, this is either a good thing or bad thing. Without the rise on the right, I'm thinking the couple that are so absorbed in each other will gradually wonder off and get lost. The group of three will shout and manage to find the single person, but the other two, well, that's for the next chapter!

And getting lost in the fog has absolutely nothing to do with Werewolf in London being on the TV tonight. Honest.

Tried cropping the right to get rid of the hill, but left too little space to retain the effect, so cloned it out instead. A cloning of the white bits, as well.

mmm... tried a median filter on the fog to get rid of the noise, but can't use it on the land so there's still noise there... not sure if that mix works.

There are several things about this image that have captured my attention. First...it's not your typical fog shot. It has a refreshingly documentary feel to it. Your composition (placement of the figures) is also unexpected. I like the bright colors against the desaturated scene. I'm wondering where these people are going and why are they there in the first place. The forground objects are a bit of a distraction, especially the white litter(?). Perhaps you had a reason for leaving it in the photo.
