pnital 36 Posted November 24, 2004 That is a sharp capture Ken, with beautiful colors, well done. Pnina Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Ken, welcome back! Wonderful Bokeh with fine colors and detail. I know that the tech detail said no flash, but it looks like there was a front/side light source? 20D + 70-200 2.8 sure is a winning combo. ^_^ Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted November 25, 2004 You are too good. Yes, I did use a fill in flash. I posted this on my way out of the door going to the office and didn't have time to post the tech details. So the tech details defaulted to no flash. I've now posted the correct settings. Thanks for your interest and comment. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Ditto what Wilson said! LOL The 70-200 does have that wonderful bokeh, unmistakeable and the 20D has that wonderful detail, unbeliveable. Nice job! Link to comment
gabriella_lucia 0 Posted November 26, 2004 Brilliant color, detail and background. Great! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 27, 2004 Ken..i feel the contrast levels are too high here. You lose definition in the side view of the feathers. (wing)There should be a distinct seperation which just bails out. Used to own 2 of these..their screams can peel the paint off walls. Anyway in my view a macaw is a sitting duck for a pic and could be shot 6 inches away without a prob so definition would be much more a rating point than shooting a flock in the jungle of s america....but real nice pose and its great to see a quality shot of one. Wilson is right nice lens. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted November 27, 2004 I know the original will be even sharper and more vivid because bright colors tend to upload a bit soft on PN. Nice composition and perfect DOF, imo. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted November 27, 2004 Great shot Ken, sharpness and detail is, as usual, very well done. 6/7 Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Wonderful!! The colors are GREAT, and the DOF is perfect. (There is a part of me that wishes that you had gotten the whole tail ... but it's great without it, too!) Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted November 29, 2004 I certainly value them. Lou Ann, good to see you back. Link to comment
