Snowing at the top of the mountains while raining in the foreground.

Trying to capture the fog and snow transition.

Wow, what a location. Love the shot, only there is just two much to focus on. I think there are three great themes here. Focusing on just one of them would get a higher rating from me.

This was a difficult shot to get my mind around. There is so much going on. The rocks are wet and just scream color while the mountain is snow covered with fog and snow falling which softens the background. The very front focual plane I darkened with exception of the highlighted pines to help the viewer start their walk up the creek mentally. It is the change in focal depth of three interest points that drew my eyes to walk up the creek. I hope I didn't fool to much with mother nature.

Gorgeous shot! I love the contrast between the higher altitude and the lower altitude. Reminds me of this shot I took of Needle Creek in Colorado.

Great capture of a magical atmosphere. Nice composition and perfect exposure. Loved the mist in the top frame and you captured it to perfection. Nice work. Best regards.

I bet this looks great printed out. It's been mentioned it's like a painting - definitely an oil painting with those rich colors.

The tree stump jutting into the center of the image effectively kills it by obscuring a great deal of the rest of "what is going" behind the stump. because of this feature, the sensation of the depth of field of the image is damaged. While the colors are nice, they're a bit on the saturated side.

Nature spoke... I can't change that. I actually like the stump with the red color in the center of the frame. However, you might be right the stump does block the view from upstream. But, not knowing will always be a mystery. -Scott

Scott: I love your landscape work, especially the West folder. You are self-humbling in your bio... no need to be! Fine work, and a strong presence on this site.
