Guest Guest Posted November 22, 2004 Lovely cats! but the black one is hard to photograph in contra-light! Thank you, Biliana Link to comment
ellie designs 0 Posted November 22, 2004 Great mood. More detail on black cat would be nice. Maybe a reflector, if they are in a leisurely mood. Link to comment
ghiga 0 Posted November 22, 2004 Thanks to all for your comments! For EE: it was really impossible to set a "set" to photograph the cats. They remain in the same position 2 or 3 seconds, and this is the best shot of this position. In the black-cat I hope You can see the eyes. If I make a brightness correction only for the black, the photo becomes "false". Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted November 22, 2004 The exposure decision must have been hard on this one. It is either overexpose the light cat or underexpose the dark one. I think that for this kind of shot, you would need to have more light on the dark cat and less on the other one. Link to comment
ellie designs 0 Posted November 22, 2004 I understand completely Giga, I photo cats quite a lot, check my portfolio out.If you had a reflector/lights set up you might get lucky though, who knows, have to do many of them. I think the choice to focus on the other kitty makes sense here. Link to comment
tvojeimage 0 Posted November 22, 2004 Nice capture, of course technically imperfect but nice shot anyway. Link to comment

treeffe 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Very nice picture, you've got the right moment. Oh yes, the black one is underexposed and probably with a little work on Postprocessing you could enhance the photo, but I think you would share with us an "emotion" and you did it!. Link to comment
ghiga 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Thanks Marketa, Hector and Fabio. Fabio, You has hit the centre! I am interested more in the subject and in the emotions that a photo can represent that in the technical perfection of the shot. Maybe a photo could be perfect, but cold. I trayed however to correct the black zone of the photo, but it was without half-shadows, and the result was "flat" and false. Ciao! But... are or not expressive the eyes of the black cat in this way too? Link to comment
