Great shot, Sam! Nice coulours and lightening. Andrey talks about a Dutch tradition, I'm not so sure about that. I'm Dutch and he is from the USA, he told me but.... maybe I should have known better! I think my time is come to leave Brabant for one day to take a look in the big city of Amsterdam to see it all with my own eyes. I visited Utrecht last weekend and made a walk across the canals. I did not see such a scene as this one, only mentioned three hanged man and one woman. But I did not see the need to make pictures of it. I thought it was not so spectaculair. A pity, afterwards.

Your original picture gives me new inspiration. 6/6

Best Regards, Ada.

Andrey, that's why the bikes often hang as it nearly always rains. The morning I shot this pic was one of those exceptions on the rule...;-)) Thanks for your story!

Ada, good to read you like this show of Amsterdammers' ingenuity. You don't have to walk far in AMS to see a multitude of scenes like this. And - if for once the sun is shining - they're rather photogenic. Thanks for your appreciation!
