Yes clouds are important to me. I got bad luck for clear sky this time. But if the sky is just in small amount like here I personally can take also vivid dark blue. Ones I wish to have all time and resources to wait at location for best lightning. Thanks for comments.

I like your composition, though would also try a higher viewpoint to have more of the river in the frame (and then maybe realise it doesn't work so well :-)... Jiri

Thank you all! Jiri: yes if I made a higher placed shot in order to see more from the river, I would lose most of the dramatic low angle view.

The name of the shot should be Thompson River Canyon. Not only "Thomson river" I am going to add that "canyon to the name now, because it is more about canyon. However I have quite a bit canyon shots so that?s why I didn't use that word right from the beginning.

You are all welcome to check my portfolio. Thanks.

That is a beautiful place and I long to go there and see it! To me that is the ultimate compliment to a photo... awesome job of capturing nature! Your folders are outstanding.

Excellent image - the low position really helped this one. I will like to see the same image with a early morning light - have you tried that? Anyway, you have many great landscapes.
