The composition makes this landscape. Nicely done and different. The angles, colors and framing caught my eye and made me want to check it out.

Well-done. I wonder how it would have looked if you had lost the right third of the image and turned the camera a little to the left. But it's still good, as is.

As for the right third? I took several shots here and just preferred the contrast of the fall color on the right side and the sunlit mesa on the left.

 

 

Ditto what Tim stated. Tree angle and perspective make this shot.
