dennismk 0 Posted November 19, 2004 I love taking color slides and turning them into quadtones in PS. I feel that this one worked well. Though it looks best in PS and some what less on Photonet. The water in the forground is not quite the right shade of cyan. Oh well we do the best we can. Link to comment
thomas semesky 0 Posted November 20, 2004 Doesn't appear to be very sharp. Composition lacks strength. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted November 24, 2004 I like the composition but it seems very dark around the waterfall. Is it due to the PS treatment ? What is quadtones ? Is it a black & white mode or four colours ? I see only black & white here. Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted November 25, 2004 There are a number of diffent ways to make an image a Quadtone in PS Henri. And yes it means four different colors. One can blend the colors so that it almost looks like a black and white only. This image has diffent tones of black and grey and a redish cast to the background on the right. And the water in the forground has a cyan cast to it. All of the tones were selected by me in PS using the lasso tool and the channel mixer menu. I then select the monochrome channel and it all turns into a black and white image. I can then play with the tones of the image by lassoing parts of the image and changing the color. The water in the for ground did not show up as well as on my own monitor but thats life on line. Hope this has been a help. Dennis Link to comment
