As can clearly be seen, this shot is taken very close to http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2715406&size=lg">myprevious try. This is a nice spot along my way home from work andI'm still working on how to capture it best. I think this one isbetter than the previous... What do you think?

Thanks for yourcomments and suggestions...

This is very good, Jiri! I prefer the light in this to your previous try although the clouds in the earlier one are very good.

Thank you all for your time and comments.

My wife (my aesthetical advisor) told me, this one was not a "keeper", that I had better photos to present. But I thought, hey let's give it a try. And I hope it was worth your time...

Hi Jiri! I like this one more than the previous version. The lighting on the grass, especially the taller brown stuff in the foreground and the golden field in the distance, contrasts very well with the midnight blue of the sky. Nice composition with the sweeping grass and the line of trees. The sky is considerably more dynamic in this version. I think the foliage in the trees is a bit dark and that more detail there would be nice. I would also apply a bit more USM to bring this to the potential of the 6x7 and that fantastic 55mm lens. All in all, a Very Good photograph! Regards.

This one is clearly the winner. We have a lot in common... First, I am also used to hear my wife`s judgement before posting (in this case, good decision of you to disobey). Second, I have also places in my neighbourhood I try with different lighting / sky situations. This one is more appealing for several reasons: contrasting colors of the stubble field, dramatic sky, leading lines for the eye. Regards, Carsten
