jayme 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Nice image Howard, I like the combined, high contrast and color. Well composed. Yuck....a worm in his mouth!!!! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Cool shot, Howard! This could be your Christmas card even! I like the way you handled this - did it have a white background or did you do some PS to it? Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Howard, nice color, composition, and detail. The white-out treatment works for this image, IMO. A 200-500 zoom tele, huh? Just getting used to it, or had it a while, and how do you like it? ^_^ Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Kim, yes I did white out the background with PS. The background was really distracting and since I liked what I had with the Robin I attempted to improve the image. I think I was successful. Wilson, yes new lens. Went out with a Mono Pod and made 12 exposures. Heavy lens and hard to handle. Next time, I'll use a tripod. The funny part of the story is this image was hand held. I was leaving the park, saw this guy, jumped out of the car and made 5 exposures. Link to comment
Phil_Light 795 Posted December 3, 2004 Really like the image as a whole. I even like the fact that there's no distracting background drawing you away from the subject. The more I see your work, the more I think you should be painting this too. I'd love to see this image appropriately "paint-rendered" by some software program and then printed on canvas textured paper. I think that would be stunning. Or perhaps even water-colored while maintaining significant details. Link to comment
