AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Great point of focus. The curved lines leading into straight ones really gives this image a sense of implied movment and direction. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Really like how you are working with space here. Beautuifully executed.... Link to comment
niranjn 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Brilliant. I get the feeling of the barbed wire lunging at me. The light glinting off the wire is special. A very dynamic photograph. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 16, 2004 An interesting variation with respect to the other shot you had up some days ago... here it looks like everything I wanted in focus in the other shot is... out of focus! Joles apart, there is one think I like a lot and one which bothers me a lot. What I like is the depth of the shot and the composition: the piece of wire coming from the corner fills the space in a truly-amazing three-dimensional way, with that wide curvature it has. On the other hand, my brain keeps telling me I should see clearly the thing which is closer to me (this might be related to my particular visual abilities, actually, the way my eyes physically cope with so many years of books and computer screens) and therefore I am bothered by the closest thing being out of focus... I am looking forward to the other instalments of the series! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 17, 2004 Very dramatic "in your face" shot! I'm not bothered by the out-of-focus section of the wire at all. It has the effect of pushing the image closer to the viewer. Compositionally, I like your placement of the loop in the darker section of sky. It adds to the sense of drama. This one is much stronger than your original post. Nice shot! Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted November 18, 2004 What is it about barbed wire? I think we all have photos of it! Nice work. Link to comment
chkfoto 0 Posted November 19, 2004 It is the ability to really "see" that lets one take a dynamic shot of the ordinary. Strong image. Link to comment
