salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 14, 2004 This is taken around the 80th parallel, a thousand km from the North Pole. This is the last piece of land you would see before getting there: Spitsbergen Island. I was fascinated by the water here: sea, fog, snow, ice, cloud... even the mountains are basically frozen water which keeps them together (permafrost). Does it also make a decent picture? Advise, comments and suggestions most welcome... and even the odd rating. Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted November 15, 2004 I like this, the complete water cycle! And the solid and liquid states are seperated by the gaseous states... In terms of improvements, well, not much really, maybe a more panaramic crop by taking a little off top and bottom( but not much) might suit the 'length' of the mountains and clouds better. That's it, really. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Nice shot and appropriate title. I agree with the suggestion of cropping just a tad off the top and bottom. I also like that this image is nearly monochromatic. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted November 16, 2004 Very good shot, Salvatore. Thanks to you, we can see well captured scenery of places we may never have a chance - or guts :-) to see. Did you slightly underexpose this one to prevent the fog from looking burned out ? All the best. Peter Link to comment
