i love the whole feel of this shot.... the depth that you get from the way the sunshine on the mist causes the background to fade away, the top to bottom lines of the trees, broken by the one prominent fallen one.

I love the light and fog in this picture, but I find the strong diagonal element to the right distracting.

I like the strong diagonal element! It looks like these lost souls are all waiting to depart for good, and this seems a shot capturing right the moment in which one is going... I imagine it like this, almost a capture in action.

Terrific graphic shot. The bold forground tree and fallen tree on a diagonal really anchor this composition. I hope you shot many frames of this scene.
