Comments, ratings appreciated on sunset shot--I thought the bird,

though blurred (it was a 10 sec. shot) balanced out the sun.

For me, this is a classic sunset shot....and it is awesomely peaceful........6/7 all round..

Think I will take a look at your other photos now.....

Indeed, the bird as a discontinuity on the rocks (the legs are barely visible) has a very similar "floating above" feel as the sun over the horizon. In this respect, the composition achieves your target.

On the other hand, the grainy appearence of all the foreground (rather than just the blur of the bird) leaves me with mixed feelings. On one hand it does add to the peace of the scene, conversely I find it a bit disturbing, like my eyes weren't working properly and I've to squeeze them in front of the screen...
