Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted November 11, 2004 The Chijmes complex (pronounced chimes) is a converted Catholic convent school. Chijmes was once the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ), established in 1854. The Gothic chapel was built in 1890. The church remains as a religeous house, but the rest of the buildings have been refurbished and transformed into restaurants, café's, bars, boutiques and galleries. Link to comment
