wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 11, 2004 A typical Thai water lilly. What works, what doesn't? Feedback is appreciated. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 11, 2004 Good composition and lighting. Vibrant colors.... Nice work. Regards. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Not bad, not bad at all. The colors are eye popping. The blur hurts the image just a bit as I'm sure you already know. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted November 12, 2004 Beautiful lighting and colors, but it appears to be somewhat soft at the focal point. Sondra Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted November 13, 2004 Sorry, I'm with the rest on this one - the blur is too distracting because it divides two sharp areas. Nice colors, though. Link to comment

r_e 0 Posted November 13, 2004 CR: When Wilson "does a bloom" you have to look closely. And really, the position/cropping is excellent! The colours, and the idea of heavy dissolving of sharpness is outstanding! CL: Although the blur on the "bottom" of the bloom is quite interesting it is distracting at the tops in the foreground! aepelbacher 0 Posted November 13, 2004 Beautiful, Wilson!! I love the play between the pinks and yellows ... with absolutely NO other colors present!! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted November 13, 2004 Wilson- I'm rather partial to blurs and I find this extremely attractive. I must admit it kind of reminds me of one of those rubber ball like playthings, can't remember the name at the moment. Nature has a way of combining colors so beautifully! Composition is perfect! Guest Guest Posted November 15, 2004 Viewed large as ordered now i can't get out...what blur??? You mean the shallow DOF? Wow this is dreamy Wilson...love it. 7/5 Link to comment
airwinger 0 Posted November 16, 2004 The shallow depth of field works for me fine but enjoy the photo much more when viewed larger. Check out my few macro piccy's Added a 6/6 Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Thank you everyone for your kind feedback. I guess the DOF wasn't deep enough so the sharpness was only at selected area. Handheld at f8 just doesn't cut it in macro, I guess. ^_^ Link to comment
